2. Not familiar With Howard Dean

Check off: Familiar – No (or a little)

  • “Great, I've called to tell you a little about Governor Howard Dean who is running for President.
  • Howard Dean was a medical doctor with his own practice before he was Governor of Vermont, so health care is a top priority for him. That is why he initiated a plan that provides nearly all children & over 90% of adults with healthcare coverage in Vermont. He understands the healthcare needs of everyday people.
  • He balanced the budget every one of the eleven years he was governor, and he did so without cutting K-12, higher education, or Medicaid, so you know he has his priorities straight.  You can't have social justice without a balanced budget.
  • Last but certainly not least, Howard Dean has been exciting Democrats by not being afraid to stand up to George W. Bush.  He's making us proud to be Democrats again!”

Leaving a Message

“Hi ________ my name is _______ and I'm calling on behalf of South Carolina Volunteers for Howard Dean.  I'm just calling to tell you why I'm so inspired by Governor Howard.

Howard Dean is the former governor of Vermont where he initiated a plan that provides nearly all children and over 90% of adults with health care coverage.

He doesn't just talk about providing health care to Americans; he's done it before.  He balanced the budget every one of the eleven years he was governor, and  he did so without cutting K-12, higher education, or Medicaid, so you know he has his priorities straight.

Lastly, Howard Dean has been exciting Democrats by not being afraid to stand up to George W. Bush.  He's making us proud to be Democrats again!”
